Josiah is a couple of weeks shy of his 2nd birthday. We decided to go ahead and transition him from his crib to a "big boy bed". Thanks Dad for helping us to convert his bed!
Hmm I wonder if this would work for Isaiah? Does Josiah stay in his bed? Did your crib convert to a bed? We have one of those and seriously thinking of the switch over but worried this will not go well or maybe just worried that I won't get "my time" during his nap. Tanya :)
Thanks for your comment Tanya. Yes, his crib transitions into a toddler bed. Overall the transition to Josiah's big boy bed has been successful. He has tested boundaries by getting out of his bed but has been pretty easy to work with in getting him back to bed (the key is just consistency in walking him back and tucking him in again without saying anything). It has cut down on him screaming in the morning first thing when he wakes up. He simply gets out of his bed and comes into our room and stands by my side of the bed - sometimes until I realize he is there he just stands there quietly staring at me. It's kinda creepy yet funny at the same time. It's been a good transition for us.
