They Are Growing!

We took Josiah in for his 6 month check-up this morning.  I was expecting him to weigh in around 15 lbs but was amazed to see him come out at 16 lbs, 4 oz and 27 inches in length.  He ranked in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height!  Priya had a check-up today as well and weighed in at 27 lbs, 4 oz and 37 1/2 inches.  They are growing so fast!!!

A Wonderful Thing To Wake Up To...

I had to add one last video to celebrate Josiah's graduation to 6 months.  This was taken earlier last week and was an absolutely precious thing to wake up to.  Ashish had gotten Priya up and she a beeline to Josiah right away.  I was soon awakened by the precious sound of my childrens' laughter...

I am so excited for the day when Priya and Josiah will really be able to enjoy playing together.  It melts my heart to see the love and affection between them now.

6 Months...

It's hard to believe that tomorrow will already mark the 6-month point for our little man.   He is growing so quickly and is changing right before our eyes!  I've had to bump up to the 2nd notch on his jumperoo (which means he's getting tall), he's probably around 15 lbs (Priya weighed that around the 1 year mark and wasn't over 20 lbs until she was 2 to give a little perspective) and he's doing so many new things!

Today marked the beginning of operation de-swaddle.  We can barely keep the little guy in his "Miracle Blanket" and it takes a lot to get out of that kind of swaddle.  I was going to wait until the beginning of June when I won't be working any more (for 2 months only - I'm not quitting my job), but our little Houdini helped to bump up the time frame with his magical escaping abilities.

Josiah has also been mastering the art of solid food for the past three weeks. So far he has enjoyed rice cereal, sweet potatoes (which he is absolutely crazy about), peas (which he currently hates) and pears (this was a new addition last night and he seemed to enjoy them).  Below is a video of his first solid food experience.
