Cooper-Heath 1st Floor Wii Party!

Tonight was so much fun!  I joined the ladies of 1st floor Cooper-Heath in a Wii party.  We started out playing Just Dance.  It was a first for me and despite my lack of coordination, I had a BLAST!  I love the freedom that I feel now to be able to participate in these types of activities.  In the past I would have sat by the sidelines too embarrassed or awkward to join in.  My goodness, how life has changed for me over the past year and a half!  I feel like I have my life back and I'm loving it!!

Josiah's 3rd Birthday - Part 2

Josiah is officially 3 years old!  Wow!  How time flies!  We celebrated at what we fondly call the "birthday park" as it has become a place for many birthday celebrations over the past several years.  November 16 was a special day for many in attendance - it was Grammy Penner's birthday and Grammy & Papa Christian's anniversary too!

Josiah wanted to bring his Mater Quad that he received from Grammy & Papa Christian and had a good lesson on the importance of sharing.  Josiah's buddy, Anthony, had a blast riding Mater around the park.

Josiah's love for Disney's Cars has continued to grow and he requested a Cars themed party this year.  He was thrilled to see that Mater and McQueen were featured on his cupcakes.

Celebrating Grammy's birthday.  Doesn't she look beautiful?  :)

And Grammy & Papa Christian were serenaded with "Happy Anniversary" as well.  It was their 43rd anniversary!

Savanah, Cecily and Anthony blessed us with their presence at the party.  We love this family and cherish the times we get to spend with them.

Grammy Christian won adorable Claire over!

More Mater fun!

Time to open gifts!  Josiah had a lot of help with this part!

I loved watching Priya's facial expressions and her enthusiasm for her brother.

Anthony's birthday is next week so Priya and Josiah wanted to honor him as well with something special.

Josiah's 3rd Birthday - Part 1

We began celebrating Josiah's birthday a bit early this year.  His last day of school this week was Thursday (his birthday was on Saturday), so we brought cupcakes to school to share with his class at the end of his day.  Priya was able to join in on the fun as well.

The kids had just woken up from their naps so there was a lot of yawning, rosy cheeks and half-awake kiddos.  :)

Who says you can't have fun with a cast?!

We spent the afternoon with some wonderful friends that we met about 2 1/2 years ago at a Life Group at our church, Michelle and Adam Deglmann.  Michelle happens to work at Simpson and is just down the hall from me as well which is great!

This was Priya's first active outing since she broke her arm 9 days ago.  I was nervous about bringing her to the park as her confidence is increasing (and my anxiety is increasing) and she is becoming bolder (is that a word?) every day.  Fortunately she didn't go too crazy and we didn't go home with any additional injuries.  Whew...

Some light swinging.  It was strange not to hear the usual phrase of "higher!  higher!" this go-round!

Since the birth of Priya's cousin, Kaitlyn McCutcheon, Priya has been pretty crazy about babies.  She has really taken to little Claire (who just turned one about a month ago) and was thrilled to have the chance to play with her at the park today.

Josiah is really taken with the Deglmann family as well.  I'm sure you can see why by looking at this picture...  They were made to be parents!

Josiah was more daring today than I have ever seen him!  He was climbing all sorts of new contraptions today and braving taller slides than he has in the past.  Way to go Josiah!

One of Josiah's new climbing accomplishments.  He was nervous at first and wanted me right by his side but gained a huge amount of confidence when he reached the top and was so excited each time he subsequently made it to the top!

"Mommy, we want you to come down the slide with us!"

 "Ok Mommy, Go!"

"Haha - that was fun!"
I'm so thankful to be able to play like this with my kids!
