I mentioned Priya's friend Savannah a few posts back. We enjoyed meeting Savannah's mom, Cecily, that day at the pumpkin patch and discovered that Savannah had a little brother (Anthony) who was 5 days younger than Josiah. We exchanged phone numbers that day and determined to find a time to set up a play date. So last weekend we were invited over to their house for the afternoon. The girls had a blast together playing dress up and doing each other's make-up. Josiah and Anthony played with cars, trains and dinosaurs. And Cecily had a great time chatting and getting to know each other. I definitely look forward to building deeper friendships with this special family!

Trick or Treat
October 31 was a rainy day this year so we decided to try trick or treating at the mall - a new experience for all of us. It was PACKED with hundreds of kids. We moved in a huge line throughout the perimiter of the mall. Priya got to try some lipgloss on from the makeup counter at Macy's (they were doing this in addition to giving out candy), the kids got balloons from Old Navy and they even scored cell phones from one of the phone stores as well (probably the biggest hit for them that night). Josiah also made quite the stir with his Elmo costume. Some of the kids seemed to think that he was the real deal and they were pretty excited to see him while others took his picture.
School Field Trip to Hawes Farm
Annually Priya's school takes a field trip to Hawes Farm. This year
our entire family was able to enjoy the adventure together. It ended
up being a cold and rainy morning but we had fun nonetheless. Here's a
glimpse of our time in the pumpkin patch, visiting animals and hanging
out with friends.
Savannah has become one of Priya's dearest friends at school.
Enjoying a hay ride. Josiah was especially excited about the tractor that was pulling us.

Trinity Lutheran Church in the Park
Priya's preschool class performed at Trinity Lutheran Church's service in the park recently. They've been practicing for the past couple of months at school to prepare for this special event. Unfortunately Priya had a bit of stage fright and decided that she didn't want to perform but we enjoyed the service and the picinic and play time afterwards.
