My first attempt at braiding Priya's hair. Can't believe it took more than 3 1/2 years before I tried it out!
Priya regularly asks if she can go to work with me. So one special day I took her for a couple of hours. She packed her backpack with her Leapster, Leaptop, and some books and crayons so that she could get some "work done at the office". She also asked if we could have a meeting while we were there. She did a great job working quietly in her chair at her end of my desk while I got some work done as well. We managed to have a great time together while being productive at the same time.
Ashish's good friend Henry (who used to be a Simpson student), was driving through Redding recently. So he took Priya and his mom for a little reunion and a tour of his semi truck. What fun!
Priya was thrilled to see "Buddy" again! They had a special friendship when she was younger and she immediately remembered him when he returned for this short visit.
Another special friend spent some time with the kiddos.
Priya decided to see how Josiah looked in her sunglasses. Poor little guy will probably be dressed in girl's clothes and accessories more than he'd like. But he sure was cute!
We have been enjoying spending time with our friends, the Peterson family. They will soon be leaving Redding to head back to the mission field in Scotland and will be greatly missed. We did a couple of jewelry making lessons to help them make some jewelry that they could sell to raise money for their move.
